Weekend Warrior

I admit, this weekend will be dominated by LSU v Alabama.  I love college football but don’t watch nearly as much as I used to.  However this game has to be appointment viewing, so I plan to park myself in front of the TV Saturday night and get my SEC on.  I pray that it lives up to expectation, but knowing my history it won’t.  We’ll see.

As for the footy, there is plenty on, including a nice slate on Sunday with another London Derby (Fulham Spurs); FCB travelling to San Mames where Los Leones will be waiting to take their shot; and Juventus v Napoli in a match where the Old Lady could lay down a marker on a top three finish.  And last but not least is the game between Bordeaux and PSG as Les Girondins look to jumpstart their by getting three points against the league leaders.

The guys at the Manchester United Redcast admitted that the Red Devils were lucky to beat Everton.  I missed the game so didn’t have a frame of reference.  Eddie and Robert spent a lot of time dissecting a problem area this season, the defense, and the midfield that shields them.  Also what to do with Owen and Berbatov were discussed.  Turns out they started in the Champions League but for Berba specifically, I can’t see him staying beyond January.
